Many understand that God’s design and ordination of marriage is spelled out clearly in the first book of the Bible. The account is unambiguous and straight forward, but it is also startling for its revelation of God’s foreknowledge of what mankind would descend into when it revisited the days of Noah. Take special note that after God stated: “It is not good that the man should be alone” (Gen 2:18), and that He would make a mate for him, He instead went to work and formed every animal and bird into existence, and brought them to Adam, who subsequently named them all. When the task was complete, we read “but for Adam was not found” a mate (Gen 2:20). So, God put Adam to sleep, took one of his ribs and made a woman out of it, and brought her to Adam.
If the chronology of the events doesn’t strike you as puzzling, you weren’t paying attention.
Why was there this intervening period of creation for all the creatures of the earth between God’s declaration that He would make a mate for Adam, and the creation of the first women to be that mate for Adam? And why, at the conclusion of Adam naming all the creatures is the observation made that none were a mate for Adam?
a. God was disorganized.
b. God got side–tracked.
c. God expected one of the animals might eventually be Adam’s mate.
d. God knew once Adam got Eve he would want to go on an extended honeymoon and no work of naming all the animals would get done.
We know that both “a” and “b” can be eliminated as wrong answers, but was there the possibility of an animal mate for Adam? We know there was not when see God’s intention as revealed in the first sermon ever delivered:
And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh (Gen 2:23-24).
That’s right. The first sermon preached in the Bible was on God’s ordination of marriage. Now, you might be leaning towards “d” as the correct answer. Let’s speculate in light of what we clearly know about the Bible, that: “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (2 Tim 3:16).
If we take the ‘instruction in righteousness’ route, we learn that man is not to take an animal of the field for a mate; God had a different design for him. Now, reading this fifty years ago it would seem strange for God to have to go about it the way He did to have to point that out. Not so today. There are trans-species movements of varying degrees out there growing in popularity. This should probably not be surprising on the heels the transgender movement where individuals are ‘identifying’ as the opposite sex, and even taking their young children to surgeons to be mutilated. But if they spank him or her they can be reported to child protective services.
The laws and regulations being passed and enforced today are absurd. They defy logic and reason (link). If a man ‘identifies’ as women, the Federal government demands he have access to women’s restrooms. And what is the rigorous, objective criterion used to qualify an identifier? Merely the self-declaration that he ‘feels’ like a women grants him access to naked women in every state of the union or the Federal government will sue you and withhold the tax money they took away from you in the first place. Not content to stop there, they also issued an edict for public schools to follow suit. (link)
Could the President, Attorneys General and the Department of Justice be this insane?
You may take your answers from wherever you receive your comfort for the time being; but, yes, any examination of our current state of affairs by an objective civilization would label them as insane. Yet, many citizens, school boards, and states are collectively ‘insane’ on this issue.
So what’s wrong with our civilization? What is really taking place?
Absent the lie of fighting against the straw man of ‘discrimination’ (which actually means: choosing what is to be most preferred over that which is to be least preferred), it is the furtherance of the ‘deceivableness of unrighteousness’ spoken of in the book that tells the beginning to the end (2 Thess 2:1-10).
In this End, as it unfolds to reveal the one who is coming by the working of Satan’s power, and with the power of performing great signs and wonders; God is delivering those who received not the love of the truth that they might be saved, over to strong delusion.
Today, we find ourselves on the verge of revisiting the days of Noah as they were spoken of by Jesus as the indicator we are nearing the last days of what we’ll recognize as being remotely civilized (Mat 24:38). Interestingly, when Jesus described the behaviors of the people of Noah’s day — the eating, drinking, and marrying and giving in marriage — He seemed to cast all of those behaviors in a disparaging light; as if to imply that it was the way in which the ‘marrying,’ and the’ giving in marriage’ took place then, and would take place in these the last days, that would make them ultimately an abomination.
Probably the behaviors being celebrated today were celebrated in Noah’s day, but there was even more than that.
In the days of Noah, the state of mankind had descended to trans-species interbreeding. Here’s the account:
And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. (Gen 6:1-2)
The sons of God are angles who left their first estate to mate with the daughters of men, and the resulting offspring were giants (Job 2:1; Gen 6:4). If God had not destroyed the world with a flood and chained those rebellious angels in a special prison, His plan to send a savior in the flesh might have been in jeopardy (Jude 1:6). At least it appears that was Satan’s intention with his inspired mayhem.
The assault of trans-species interbreeding of angles and women that happens next will probably stem from Satan’s continued attack on God’s ordination of marriage.
When we consider the predominance of God’s marriage design, it would naturally follow that there would be a serious price to pay for those who attack God’s ordination. An ordination that was so important that it provoked the first ever sermon to be delivered, and that also detailed how marriage was to be followed and adhered to. Here it’s interesting to note that Jude tells us that God, not only destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for the sin of homosexuality, but also that its inhabitants are continuing to suffer the judgment of eternal fire. Perhaps more importantly, Jude also tells us that the horrific destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah was to serve as an example to us; that all who so violate God’s design for marriage will face the same fiery judgement (Jude 1:7). But, alas, examples are of none affect on those who have been given over to strong delusion.
